Winchester .225

My husbands dad actually has a 225 savage   bolt action. nice little gun but it is getting very hard to get ammo for and when you do find ammo it costs about $25.00 fot 20 rnds in winchester. I do know if you are looking to shoot factory ammo andrus outdoors located in dickenson oftens keeps a few boxes on hand at all times i beleive in a 50 gr. bullet and if you are looking to reload they still carry reloading info and supplies for this particular caliber.i know my husband has shot many deer with this gun before getting his 270 cal. and it is a nice gun for yotes too.

Thanks for sharing your information on the ammo.  I have purchased it at Scheels but typically they don't have it on hand and you have to order it.  In addition Mandan Sporting Goods will also order it.  Like you said the price isn't nice - once I believe the price was $32/box.  :(  I just wish stores would have it on the shelf.  I guess there aren't enough people using that type of gun.
