Found this guy in my minnow bucket. Came with some sucker minnows. Before anyone jumps on me about suckers being illegal, I was fishing the red.

My first thought was a baby bow fin, but the lack of a spot and that the dorsal fin didn't run the length of its back lead me to the conclusion that I had no clue what this thing was.

Those of you that said mud minnnow are correct. We have tons of those in our local sloughs and lakes. They work just as good as a fathead.

I heard you have to know how to clean them...there is not very much good meat on them. I have had them and they are good

I dont go around guessing cup sizes either I just know a nice rack when I see one.

boil it in salt water and serve with melted butter....remember not to over cook it just like lobster....mmmm...mmmm...goood !!!!
