Re:My first thought was a baby bow fin, but the lack of a spot and that the dorsal fin didn't run the length of its back lead me to the conclusion that I had no clue what this thing was.

Re:Those of you that said mud minnnow are correct. We have tons of those in our local sloughs and lakes. They work just as good as a fathead.
