Tobacco Gardens / White Earth Bay Area - Tuesday, May 12, 2009

Report Details
well hit the gardens area just to the east after work was a pretty interesting evening, with thunderclouds and rain just missing us, wind switching directions going dead calm then blowing 15-20, fun maiden voyage, caught 6  from 19-26'' males are milting females are empty, water temp in the  50s and dirty water pushed me in to the 3-9 foot area with jigs battling against the wind, the fish were pretty preticular on the spot, and if you were to far out of the area the white bass let you know, fun way to kill minnows is whitebass in shallow. hopefully more good walleye fishing is yet to come on sakakawea.

Thanks for that report.  I was very curious what the water temps were at.  Prime jig pitching it appears with males hanging up in the shallows for a while.
