I'm surprised they had a video and the guy wasn't wearing a PFD, even when running. Seems gutsy for a corporate video these days.

NIce looking boat, however, I'll be sticking with my 18 foot tiller pro angler :) ... maybe in a few years there will be an upgrade, but for now, the early 80's boat does just fine! ... must be nice to have money like you other guys! lol

I've got an Alumacraft 175 Pro Tiller bristling with gear and love it. But fiberglass keeps calling me. Not sure why.

I can say that my boat doesn't track straight worth beans. Like being in a buffalo boat (or at least what I imagine that to be like).

I really like my Lund 1700 angler tiller as well.  I have a hard time upgrading because it has more space in it than most boats and the hull has impressed me for an aluminum boat over 10 years old.  I think fiberglass, then I am reminded against it every time I bounce off a rock while coming into shore to pick up a guy or pull my pickup up when I am by myself.

Yeah, aluminum is easier to tolerate wacking things.

I think it's the terrible tracking that grates (sp?) me. My iPilot sure helps... but it just seems like that silly boat of mine won't "coast" 10 ft without changing direction especially in even a light wind. Simply too wide for its length and maybe that's why they quit making them - they still make the 185.

Mine tracks quite well, actually.  I do plenty of slow trolling and positioning in the wind with my Vantage electric.

Ha ha.  What?  This is the most plain-jane boat when it comes to paint.  Reminds me of the Warriors before they went all barbie-doll sparkle like basically every boat now a days.

Yup, can't say enough about that 8 foot beam!  That's 96 inches of stable width and makes for compromise on room even though it has a Yar or Ranger feel to it interior wise.  The rod locker eats up the floor space too by making the bow bigger but Warrior and others went to that as well (XST in Warrior).  But for a 17 foot boat you cannot find anything 96 or even 90 inches wide in fiberglass.

Definitely has my curiosity peaked.  Wonder how she handles on water?  Only one way to find out I'm afraid...

The tiller looks nice, but I think the single console 17' version is really, really nice.  Dual console it looks to be a bit crowded but would probably work too.

MSRP for the tiller with a 90 looks to be about 24k.  The single console with a 150 is about 28k.  Market is there, if they can get in with the crossover crowd it could be a good fit.

Drastic change from the 17' to the 18' versions though, not sure I think too much of the 18'.

Larson looks nice but of course I have to say take a look at the Tuffy's lso. They have tillers from 17-20 foot and I will tell you first hand they track very nice in the water even with the wider beam. If you want alot of first hand info contact Jason Feldner out at devils he ran the 20 footer all last year.

Who sells them? Maybe we should get together after the ice is off and on a good walleye chop day and take one for a test ride. I'm intrigued as well. Larson has always built quality boats.
