39 days until the Mobridge Ice Fishing Tournament will be in progress! Check your Vexilar batteries, get your Strikemaster Augers fired up, and Clam Ice Houses ready to go! The ice is starting to form in the bays around Mobridge, and we anticipate with the coming cold snap we should see some great days and nights of ice making.

Looks like the cold is coming so I'm not too worried, but I don't remember seeing things this open at this point in the year either.

As of 8:03 this morning the 9th Annual Mobridge Ice Fishing Tournament is at full capacity. 800 anglers from 14 states and Canada will flood the waters of Lake Oahe on January 9th, 2010. The Mobridge Chamber is very excited to see all the anglers in Mobridge, and know that they will have a great time trying their luck at more that $90,000 in cash and prizes!
