I would spend the extra money and get a ruger 10-22

The 10/22 is a better action with fewer jams, most of which seem to be related to my aftermarket magazines. Some .22 ammo is pre-lubed to an extent and some are not. That has a lot to do with the jamming part as well. From what I've noticed, with semi-auto's it will fix 50% of the jamming issues I've seen.
