Hiking to Hanakapi'ia Falls in Kauai, Hawaii

This was a 9  mile hike along Kauai's northern coast to Hanakapi'ia Falls.  Myself and Betsey and Nick (a co-worker and her husband) hiked this trail. The terrain was different than any I have hiked.  Tons of large rocks and tree roots on the trail. Very muddy trails.  We did lots of rock jumping across small streams, and of course our feet fell in the water a few times.  It was a hike where your feet were wet and muddy the entire hike.  The destination was gorgeous.  A 300 foot waterfall at the end of the hike, where we hopped in the water and swam underneath the waterfall.  Absolutely breathtaking!!
