Not a trophy in alot of folks' minds, however the hunt was the true trophy. My daughter (15) with her 1st whitetail buck. We stalked up to about 100yds to where we last spotted him. I grunted aggressively and he popped up out of the creek bottom, stiff legged and walked toward us. Bipod down, .243 right thru the chest, perfect shot! High 5's and hugs! We had a great weekend, no real rut activity in the area, but at least he responded. Too many standing corn and sunflower fields in the area, not much moving thru the creek bottoms.Tags: 1st, whitetail, daughter, trophy, 100yds, folks', alot, minds, true, buck
