NRA Great American Hunting and Outdoor Show to Debut in January 2010

The National Rifle Association’s Hunter Services Department is pleased to announce the launch of the NRA Great American Hunting and Outdoor Show. The event will be held at the Carroll County Agriculture Center’s Shipley Arena in Westminster, Md., Jan. 29-31, 2010.

Many of the East Coast’s top hunting, outdoor, and shooting sports retailers have already signed on as exhibitors, including numerous outfitters and guides such as Gsell’s Whitetail Refuge. Nationally-known hunting and outdoor personalities will also be speaking at seminars during the show, including Ralph and Vicki Cianciarulo of Archer’s Choice Media and Ray Eye of “Eye on the Outdoors” and “Winchester Turkey Revolution.” 

Other features include the NRA Mason/Dixon Big Buck Contest and the NRA Great American Whitetail Collection, which will be on display, showcasing 40 of the largest and highest-scoring whitetail mounts in the world.

“The NRA Great American Hunting and Outdoor Show will help us to promote hunting and let people know about all the things that NRA does for hunters,” said Bill Poole, Director of NRA’s Education & Training Division. “This is a great opportunity for people and their families to learn more about hunting and outdoor activities. Everyone from seasoned hunters to those new to the sport will take something away from the show.”

General admission to the show is $10, but NRA Members pay just $8 when they present their membership card. Children 11 and under receive free admission. Visitors can also join or renew their NRA membership at the show for only $35 and receive a free weekend pass to the show.

Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010:   9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010:     9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
