I would be on the  side of this. I was in the country yesterday for work and really needed a restroom, and couldnt even pull over like normal with all the darn traffic. It was a long drive back to town, almost to the point of using the coffee cup

Say goodbye to the great quality of life and great hunting/fishing.  Truth is, there isn't anywhere in the USA, or the world for that matter, where the population isn't growing.  Unless we want to end up like China or India, we'd better crack down on immigration and adopt a "2 child policy".

If in the country just let her hang out.  Everyone else has been in the same shoes before and needed to go.  Just try and hide it a little bit.  If in town don't be like the guy i saw in west fargo standing in the middle of Lowes parking lot at least 100 feet from nearest vehicle doing the no handed sprinkler at noon on a friday.

Don't need to adopt two child policy. Economics is doing that already.

Well the entitlement society doesn't seem to care I guess. Their behavior is actually not condoned with our current trend in politics.

I liked it better when the population was 9 people / square mile, now it is 10, might have to move to Alaska, only 1/sq mile there.  LOL

I was north/west of South Heart about 22 miles from Dickinson, the traffic was extreme with water trucks, oil trucks, pickups, and me. Every time it looked clear and I slowed down to pull over another truck would enter into my private time and force me to continue on my journey back to town. I BS you not, if it was a major situation I would have pulled over but I was able to make it.

Some smart people are realizing the economics of having too many kids, but for everyone one of them, there's at least five other dumb people who are being subsidized by the government to have more kids.

Here's what I'd do with a "2 child policy".  It would just simply be a matter of re-writing the tax code.  If you have two kids, everything stays the same, you get a deduction for each one of them.  Once you have a third kid though, you'd lose one of your deductions.  Have a fourth kid, no more deductions.  Kid #5?  Now you start paying Uncle Sam what you would have gotten as a deduction.  Same for Kid #6 and so on.  This way, you'd still be free to have as many kids as you wanted, but you'd also have to be financially responsible for them.  If we don't start thinking about overpopulation, our quality of life will go right down the drain.  Just look at California, traffic, polution, overcrowding.  Urban sprawl is well underway here in ND too.

We call it survival of the fittest in reverse. Those that make a good income and have educations tend to have the one or two child families. Lower income families tend to have large batches.

If you are already covering increased cost of raising children why should you also pay a tax penalty? There are always going to be people who abuse systems, but it is complete ignorance to promote restrictions such as these. I am blessed and lucky enough to be the father of four wonderful children. Overpopulation is not the problem, lack of responsibility is the problem. I am raising my children to be God fearing people who respect authority, people and property. When they grow up, become educated and start working, they will be contributors to society and society will be better for it. What a shame it would have been to have stopped at two and lost two future contributors to the AMERICAN WAY OF LIFE.
