Has anyone tried the SheSafari hunting clothing brand?  If so, was the clothing a good fit for you?

Are there any stores that sell it? I noticed they have brush pant, and I'd be very interested in giving those a try. I'm not exactly thrilled about the youth pair I was able to find.

I was just in the Fargo Scheels and noticed they have a selection of women's hunting apparel, which I was very happy to see. It's very small, but at least it's a start! They only had Mossy Oak and Gamehide, but they seemed to be of decent quality.

I'm going to have to buy some new gear for an elk hunt in Montana so I'd appreciate any suggestions on your favorite brands.

The SHE brand is the only brand of women's clothing that I could find that has a larger variety of styles and camo patterns that do not cost $100. I have a hunting vest and shirts but the sizes run small so may have to choose a size larger.  The SHE brand is at scheels, but they do not carry a large selection of sizes.

I've been looking for a good cold-weather coat, but after doing a little bit of shopping, I'm now torn between getting a nice, heavy coat or getting a lighter jacket and layer, layer, layer because sometimes I sweat my butt off out on walks.  Going elk hunting in Montana at the end of November, though, and that's a whole new climate and hike! I don't know what my best option is.  What are your takes - what do you find works best for you? Tough to ask a guy since they are all always hot no matter what!

I have done both the heavy coat as well as layering.  I actually prefer to layer because we do alot of walking.  That way, at the end, or even sometime in the middle, if I need to shed a layer to cool down a little, I can.  If I didn't walk as much with our crew as I did, then I would go for the heavy coat to stay warm, since I wouldn't be moving as much.

I am partial to the Prios line.  They make good quality warm gear and seem to pay attention to the details.

I tried a pair of pants from High Maintenance Camo this past weekend for deer hunting and I really liked them.

They were a lighter fabric which was nice since it was 70 degrees on the opening day.  I'd definetely wear something heavier for cooler weather though.

I have a long sleeve shirt and a hat. I got them from Scheels in Bismarck. They look and fit great!

I had the Upland Game vest for about one hour. It fit great and was excellent quality, but when I was loading up some shells before a walk, I noticed one of the shell holders was ripped. I still had the tags, so I was able to return it, but they didn't have another one in the same size, and I haven't gotten around to checking out some deals online. The one complaint (other than the ripped strap of course) was that the shell holders didn't have bottoms, so shells could slip through and they were bigger, so if you carry a 20 gauge, you wouldn't have even been able to use them. In addition, the pockets were a little smaller than I like, but there were a lot of neat little features. I think I still would buy it again if it's still available next year. I have to hold off this year, since I've got an elk hunt coming up that is taking up quite a bit of my expendable cash!

I've also tried the pants on. My one disappointment there is that they are still way to long if you are a mere 5'2", but they do fit good everywhere else. Just didn't make the splurge since I was buying an expensive upland vest at the time!

I suppose I should add a little disclaimer since it doesn't make sense to say "excellent quality" and then turn around and say it was ripped. I think that was a little bit of a fluke. The rest of the vest was flawless - not even a loose string. Don't know what happened there.

For me, I've bought several things off of the She Safari web site.  The fit was not bad for my odd shape.  The only issue I've had so far is that it is not quiet.  When I'm coyote hunting that has always been my pet peeve.  I can't stand the swooshing sounds made by hunting clothes.  Other than that... If you don't mind the noise... I give them a thumbs up for quality and trying to fit all body types.
