Wow, that looks pretty awesome.  I wonder how well the LCD screen will hold up during 20 below weather.

Too early to think about that. Just watching that video gave me seasonal depression.   Wait till November to show that stuff. JK

they hold up just fine.  lots of guys (me included) been using their lowrances for years on the ice and i've never had any issues.  

i've got to say... they did their homework with this unit.  looks like they took their time and considered lots of input before putting this machine together.  great features that i would've never even thought to include.  although, i still don't see why anyone would use the flasher feature.  as long as all of the other features that he showed us like cone coverage and the dashboard instrument panel are available on the graph, i'd flip it to the graph setting and never look back.  anyone know what they will go for?

With all the issues the LX-5 had/has I would sit back and wait the 1st season,just a thought.

skimmer or trolling motor puck transducers available for them so a guy can move it to his boat in the summer?

Heck, the last couple years I have fished pretty shallow all winther.  Probably could have got away with a fl-8.  My old trusty 18 will still be my huckleberry.
