A big bobcat is 40lbs. Not all bobcats have short tails either. My guess is bobcat. Just a guess don't get your panties in a bunch.

The cat is well in front of that bigger beet in the back. Even Though the beet is farther away than the cat, it proportionately, still looks to small to be a big cat. The cat also appears to be even shorter than the short grass between itself and the camera. Unless that littler beet in front of the cat is the size of a basketball, and that larger one to the right is a beach ball, I'd say it's just a kitty.
