Extreme Huntress Competition

I am pretty new to this site, I just joined last month, so most of you don't know me very well yet. I just found out yesterday that I was selected into the top 10 of the Most Extreme Huntress competition and am asking for your support. There are some amazing women being spot lighted in this competition and there are a few things that set me apart. One, I am a blue collared hunter working on a blue collared budget so I probably represent most of you! Two, I spend a lot of time in the off season volunteering to support our local conservation clubs, our youth, and other women. I am truly dedicated to the hunting heritage and tradition. You can visit my facebook to see more about my hunts http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/profile.php?id=1279770713.

Hello All,
I am trying to find out what the best rifle would be for me to get this upcoming deer season. I will be mainly going for Whitetail but there is a possibility for some mule deer. What would you recommend?? I will be buying one soon so let me know! Help!
Gun Cases

Does anyone know where I can find a pink gun case for a .22? I am looking for one for myself. I just bought the Mossberg 702 Plinkster with the pink marbel and I would love something to match it but I am unable to find it. My next gun is going to be the Remington 870 shotgun in pink. What can I say, I love a little feminine touch while shooting. And my husband loves it!

Little Bit About Ourselves...

I got an email about this site earlier today. I have been a regular poster on FishingBuddy now and then and I really enjoy the site for the advice and just straight-up entertainment. I have to say, though, that I'm pretty excited to have an outlet to discuss the outdoors with other women.
It looks like the site is relatively new, though, so I thought it might be good to get to know each other a little bit better. My name is Tessa and I currently live in Bismarck. I'm pretty new to hunting, so I'm always looking for forums on the best guns, clothing (which is always a pain. I've been fortunate that I'm short enough to fit the youth clothing, otherwise I'd be in a hurt-bag!), etc.
I've been pretty fortunate in the big game arena, but I have to say I really like hunting upland game. With the help of a few friends, we got together the first all-ladies team for the Kenmare Goosefest and had a blast. We definitely have a lot to learn!
I've forwarded this on to members of the Central Ladies Ducks Unlimited Chapter here in Bismarck-Mandan and hope they all help get this site rolling! Maybe we could take a card from the boys over at FishingBuddy sometime and all meet up in town sometime. Anyway, thought I'd introduce myself a bit and look forward to getting to know other members.

Open Sites vs. Scope

I recently bought a Savage 30-06 with open sites. I have had luck with it so far, but where our group hunts, I am thinking that I might be better off with a scope. Any suggestions on scope, or should I wait it out with the open sites?
To Bait or Not to Bait?
