Does anyone know for sure if there where 2 teams that had coyotes on their trucks before check-ins on friday? I had heard that this was true and dont want to start any rumors. Who did win, and how many coyotes were shot, i heard the had really bad weather fri and alot of fog on sat, i was unsable to go but had a blast last yr. I know there were 28 teams, but only 9 got out and hunted on fri, anyone make it to the tournament?

Don't want to start any rumors? Isn't that exactly what you just did?

I was up there at the final evening.  Very, Very interesting.  The first place team again was Heid and Heid with 13 dogs.  My very good life long friend and his partner got second place with 6 dogs.  The heids came in the last day with 11 dogs.  Just like last year, the Heids came in the last day with 13 dogs for a total of fifteen.  Alot of speculation going on with them.   Rumor has it they cannot hunt alot of other tourneys in the state.  If rumor is true, I was told they paid them their money and were told not to come back anymore.  Could be rumor but I wouldn't doubt it was true.

The only tournaments that the Heids can't hunt any more are hunts ran by Jamie Olson ( Coyotehunter.net).   That is only because he has a serious case of little man syndrome!!!   There's alot of people not hunting his tourneys anymore which has alot to do with his serious lack of proffesionalism and for just being an idiot.

Ok, I read this stuff last year and I'm reading it again this year. I just feel like I need to throw this out there. I work with a relative of the Heids and I showed this to said relative last year and again this year. Here is their take.

"The Heids eat, sleep, think, dream, and kill coyotes, lots of them."

This is my own personal take on the situation and it can pretty much be connected with anything involving competition. Some individuals are extremely good at what they do, whether it be knitting, walleye fishing or pole vaulting that being said when people show up to a tourney with the knowledge, skill sets and know how and blow the competition away of course there is going to be controversy. These guys are apparently very good at what they do...Killing coyotes. Let it be.

Its just hard for some to accept the fact that the the Heids are just that much better than themselves. I guess if you can't beat them fairly you call them cheaters. Pathetic really.

Have rumor based discussion going on.  I believe I will lock this and let it be at that.  Not going to be responsible for allowing unproven discussion.

If someone has concrete evidence of anything I will post.  Email it to tsandstrom@fishingbuddy.com and give me your real name.  All information will be posted using real names to validate authenticity.

Nicely said HUNTDUX... I hunted the tourney and I know the Heids really well along with a couple of the other teams that placed. I heard in the bar that one of the other teams had chains on there truck and kept the RPM's up all day now after hearing that should I call them cheaters because they most chertainly must have been running them right??? WRONG. With the amount of snow we had to deal with we all had to keep the tires spinning to get back into some of our good spots. There wasn't a person there that hunts as hard as Tory and Todd and people should be ashamed for calling them cheaters. They have had to take two yes TWO polygraphs becasue everyone feels they cheat and they passed them both. What more do they have to prove. I think the Beulah Chamber should split them up with another entered team the morning of the hunt or send one of the Chamber members with them not tell them they can't come back becasuse there good.  Pretty soon it will be to the point that all the good hard working hunters will no longer hunt these tourneys becasue they will not want to be labled a cheater and then what will you be left  but all the cheaters.

I wasn't fortunate enough to place but by god congrats to the guys that did my hat is off to you all.
