Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation & North American Game Wardens' Museum Drawing

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) and the North American Game Wardens' Museum 2009 North Dakota elk and moose permit drawing is now underway.  Both North Dakota residents and non-residents can apply for these permits.

The suggested donation for tickets are as follows:
$10 for 1 ticket
$20 for 3 tickets
$50 for 8 tickets
$100 for 20 tickets

The drawing is going to be held at their booth at the North Dakota State Fair, Minot, on Saturday, August 1st at 5 pm (Need not be present to win).  If you would like to purchase tickets for this drawing, please contact Rod Gilmore at 877-996-0207 or 701-527-0027.

The prizes are as follows:
1st first place winner: Will have the option of choosing either a 2009 ND elk tag or a 2009 ND moose tag
2nd place winner: Will receive the big game tag that is not taken by the first place winner
3rd place: Winchester Model 70, .30-06 RMEF 25th Anniversary Edition rifle
4th place winner: Mossberg .300 Win Mag with Scope
(Winners of the rifles can make arrangements to have the rifle sent to your local FFL dealer)

The winners of the elk and moose permits can hunt in any unit open and any season for that species during the 2009 seasons.  Winners of the big game permits must be 14 years of age and have completed a hunter safety education course if required by law.  Both North Dakota residents and non-residents can apply for these permits.  Winning either of the big game permits does not affect that person's once-in-a-lifetime eligibility for either elk or moose.  Hunters who have previously drawn the once-in-a-lifetime North Dakota elk or moose permit are eligible to enter in this drawing.

For those planning on attending the ND State Fair, they will have a booth in the Commerical Building I, booth #885.  You can purchase tickets at the booth.  In addition, anyone who renews or purchases a RMEF membership at their booth during the state fair will receive a free Browning Chinook knife (a $40 value).

All net proceeds from this raffle stay in North Dakota to fund elk related projects and the North American Game Wardens' Museum at the International Peace Garden.
