National Rifle Association
Purpose: The purpose of the National Rifle Association is to defend America’s second amendment rights, promote and provide education regarding gun use and to be your voice in government regarding other gun laws.
Membership: The NRA currently has over four million members and this number is growing exponentially as more Americans are realizing their right to bear arms may be in danger.
Why should you become a member? Supporting the National Rifle Association provides you with many benefits. First the association keeps you in the know on gun laws, what is happening in your state and in this nation. Second, the NRA provides excellent education and hunting opportunities for members. Third, the NRA has a area dedicated to Women’s Programs. Lastly, members receive email and mail updates and also have the choice of one of three different magazines to receive monthly which have information on new firearms and ways to get involved.
Friends of the NRA: These events are an excellent opportunity to get involved with your local NRA members. Members attend the evening meal, bid on special auction items, have the opportunity to be drawn for great prizes and support their county, state and national programs related to firearms. What is the membership cost? A one-year membership is $35.00. Members also have the option of joining as a lifetime member.
